Welcome
Whether you are healing from trauma, navigating grief, facing a major life transition, or seeking deeper understanding and greater ease, your whole self is welcome here.
The name “Surfacing” comes from my experiences observing humpback whales emerge from the ocean depths to breathe and dive again. They remind me that it is possible to develop a sense of ease in complex environments. The extraordinary sound of their exhale captures for me the essence of what it is to let go. The massive inbreath is an embodiment of what it is to receive. Their lives unfold to this rhythm of diving and surfacing, and I find the pattern a compelling metaphor for what a therapeutic process can be.
Importantly, neither whales nor human beings do life alone. It is an honor to accompany others as I myself have been, and continue to be, accompanied.
